SHORT TERM RENTAL FOR TOURISM PURPOSES

The Law on the Rental of Houses for Tourism Purposes and Amendments to Some Laws No. 7464, which was published in the Official Gazette and came into force on November 2, 2023, introducing new regulations on the short-term rental of houses on Airbnb and similar platforms.

Within this scope, the subletting of rented houses by tenants through short-term rental was prohibited, rental activities was made subject to permission, the consent of other apartment owners in the same building was made mandatory, and the identity notification process in accordance with the Identity Notification Law No. 1774 was made mandatory.
